name dropping

I used to read Tatler solely because I like the ridiculous names of the English aristocracy. I think my favourite contributor is Ticky Hedley-Dent. What does that even mean? It sounds like something you might catch. It reminds me of this book my Dad has. It's by Nancy Mitford, and it's called Noblesse Oblige. It's a massive tome that's solely dedicated to differentiating between the language of the landed gentry and the new rich in England. It's inadvertently hilarious - if you're into that sort of thing. I may be the only one.
